Yes; apparently you've been living in the Land of Nazi Licenses :)  There
are many, -excellent- freeware libraries for many things you might want to
do. While some are not top notch, others are, and even the ones that aren't,
you can improve yourself. Never reinvent the wheel when you don't have to.
