Is that on Windows 95, plain DOS or Windows 3.X? (Please make a point
of posting at least some details about your system configuration when
you report problems.)

If it's Windows 95, it's possible that this is because some conflict
between the way you unzipped the Emacs distribution and the long file
names support (or lack thereof) in DJGPP as installed on your system.
Please read the file README.dos in the Emacs distribution, and make
sure that you unzipped the *.zip files as it tells you. If you did,
and it still doesn't work, type "set LFN=y" from the DOS prompt, then
try to run Emacs again and see if that helps.
