using allegro

this is how I do using allegro:
BITMAP *mon_pcx;
PALLETE bonjour_de_france;

mon_pcx=load_pcx("silly.pcx",bonjour_de_france);
set_pallete(bonjour_de_france);  
blit(mon_pcx,screen,0,0,0,0,320,200);

/*To check if you have loaded the pcx file use if(mon_pcx!=0)
						   {it's loaded}
 otherwise(i'm practicing english) check if it's in your dir*/
