Subject:	newsgroup/mailing list/deja news?

Hi,

I dont read the newsgroups (through Lynx, dont know any other way) coz it
uses too much of online time. The mailing list if faster but it still takes
a considerable amount of time to transfer the mail fomr our server (and
hangs sometimes). Is there a faster way i can get the messages to my
computer than the mailing list? Is there some way  I can download the
previous days' mail archieve in one go, maybe as a .QWK file or something
other format? I use eudora light and a restricted shell account. I do not
mind being lagging behind a few days. Please help. Continuing with the
mailing list is becoming a problem.
