Use ^K C and not ^K ^C. Robert wants ^C to stop the debugger in critical
situations. I preffer ^Break or ^Alt Del for that. Robert?

These commands are complementary. ^K-C doesn't use the clipboard so you can
hold something in the clipboard (to paste frequently with Shift-Ins) and use
^K-C or ^K-V. I use it a lot.
