I just downloaded the DJGPP compiler and rhide because I wont to learn how
to program in C. This is my first time programming and I dont know why it
won't compile my programs. In rhide it can't find any help files and when
I run a program the message screen say bad command or file name and the
exit code is -1(Oxffffffff). I have windows 95 msdos and pcdos system. In
my autoexec.bat file I add "set DJGPP=C:\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV" and
"PATH=C:\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH%" like it said to do.
I was wondering if their is a way just to write my programs in dos instead
of rhide and also compile them. Would that be easyer for me. After I
downloaded the files "bnu27b(1) djdev201(1) rhid13bb gcc272b(1) and
txi390b"I put them all in one directory called djgpp should I keep there
names like that. So if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it
because I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Could anyone give me step by
step help on how to input programs and install the compiler right.
