Is truly _half_ of the spam that appears here sent to the mailing list?  I
find that hard to believe.

Spam which meets certain criteria for cancellation can be cancelled, and
already is being done by automated services.  Taking cancellations into
your own hands is a very bad idea, particularly in a newsgroup that is not
declared as being retromoderated (which comp.os.msdos.djgpp is not).
