Somehow I get the impression that you posted the wrong code...
How can you access video memory by setting the graphics mode?
Is this the next generation of graphics cards that guess what should be 
displayed next, depending on the mode number? The new 127.69 bit graphics chip
'Picasso' that paints pictures itself?
