What is your system time and date set to? (type "time" and "date" at the
DOS prompt). Also check the timestamps on the files from the Allegro
distribution, which should be several months in the past. If they have
somehow got set to a time in the future, use a program like "touch"
(from the fileutils package) to fix them. But I suspect the trouble is
just that your system clock is wrong...
