you are probably using it incorrectly. you can post a short example of
code that produces this problem. however, you should keep in mind that
basic C programming questions are off-topic for this newsgroup, and in
the future you should try news:comp.lang.c or
news:comp.lang.c.moderated. of course, before posting there, you should
