After the last responses I hesitate to ask but:
I keep getting this message no matter what I type( i.e. gcc -o first.c
first.exe and various other syntaxes referred to in various documentation)
, based of course on all the documentation which I've read, when trying to
compile a simple prgram to see if it works:
ld.exe: cannot open crt0.o: no such file or directory (ENOENT)
I really don't understand a lot of "compiler" concepts such as libraries,
linking, etc. There are massive docs and a totally new browser for me to
learn (info.exe) and all I want to do right now is see what C programming
is all about, i.e. the language.
If this is considered too idiotic to answer do me a favor and don't. My
self esteem has been shattered by newsgroups of all shapes and sizes.
Sincerely,
Nick Nova
