assuming you posted this here because the "everything" you have is
DJGPP, you might as well start with the O'Reilly book "Practical C" from
http://www.ora.com/.  then you will probably want to buy some of the
other O'Reilly books dealing with different parts of the GNU software. 
They have a book called "Programming With GNU Software" which will
probably be a big help.

if the "everything" was NOT DJGPP then you ARE off-topic for this
newsgroup, but since you mention game programming, the unofficial title
of this newsgroup is comp.os.msdos.djgpp and allegro, since allegro is
the darnedest game library (and, as they say, SO MUCH MORE) on the
planet, and it's just for DJGPP!
