MIDAS is free for non-commercial programs, available at
http://kalahari.ton.tut.fi/s2/midas/. 0.7 beta 1 is the last version to
include source code, the later ones don't. 

Allegro is, "swapware", the web page at
http://www.talula.demon.co.uk/allegro/ says:
	"Allegro is swap-ware. You may use, modify, redistribute, and
	generally hack it about in any way you like, but if you do you
	must send me something in exchange."
