Hmm. Yes, theoretically I think you can. The GCC end generates
protected-mode code from your C source. The only difficulty is getting the
assembler/linker to give you a flat binary, without relocation tables,
loader info, etc. Does anyone out there know a way to do this?

Also, you'll have to be careful not to use any library functions that would
do something wrong on the little machine (i.e. fwrite).

Some more details on what you're trying to do and what facilities this
NS486SXF provides would be nice.
