This depends on what you want to do. For raw DOS programming you
can (and should) use RHIDE and for Windows programming use rsxide.exe
even when it is possible to use RHIDE for this (I tried it already).

May be, but the common reason for this is a bug in NT by not coorect
handling real mode callbacks or something related to it. For this
I had added a commandline switch to RHIDE -M which tells RHIDE to not
to install the mouse handler but using the polling methode.
