This is done differently in DJGPP.  Depending on what you intend to do
with that character table, you will need to use one of the methods
described in section 18.4 of the DJGPP FAQ list (available as
v2/faq210b.zip from the same place you get DJGPP).  Sorry, the issue
is too complex to explain here, so please read the FAQ; if there's
something unclear after that, ask specific questions later.
