Don't count on either.  Ideally, the official GNU distribution should 
support DJGPP right out of the box, but not all of them do (actually, 
most don't), so the DJGPP-specific files aren't there.  The DJGPP source 
distributions sometimes omit files which aren't required for a DJGPP 
build (to conserve disk space).

So if you need a DJGPP build, get the DJGPP sources; if you need to build 
on Unix, get the original GNU distribution.
