Subject: G77 Help

     Hello
I have a large (18K + lines) fortran program (spice from Berekely)
that will compile and run. The problem is when I try to optimize the
code with -O or -OX one of the supplied test files hangs the cpu. I
have traced the problem to a subroutine and when I insert a Print
statement Print '(a8)', 'line #' at the appropriate point in the
source code the code runs ok. I don't want to live with the extra
print statement. Any hints or suggestions?
