If you mail (physical mail, not email) the binaries, you have to
include a written promise to mail the sources, valid for three years.

Other than that, no - you have to put the sources on the same site and
make them available through the same means.  Why?  Well, what if they
can't get to that "elsewhere" where the sources are?  All you know is
that they can get to the place where the binaries are, so the only way
to guarantee that you've made the sources available to them is to put
the sources in the same place.
