No, thats the wrong approach.
It's senseless to send thousands of lines of code ( the parts were the
delay() function is called are certainly not the parts which cause the
problem ).

I was looking for help from someone who was also discovered problems
or broke delay() and knows the reasons.

Your teacher like answer was no help, sorry.
