I've got a bit of a problem ;) I'm currently involved with in a joint
programming project across two systems. The graphics routines I'm working with
have been developed to draw everything to one screen bank and then blit this
directly to the other. However, although I'm using a new 6x86-166+ (though I
suspect the video card speed and banks are more relevant), blitting in Allegro
2.1 is too slow. In 640*480 res, it takes about 1/2 second which is too
noticable a delay.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of how to quicken this up (apart
from getting a half decent video card, which many people do not have!).
Otherwise I'll just have to be clever and only update the parts of the screen I
need :).
Thanks in advance.
