Quite true, my idea of an average computer is anything from a 486DX 66 up
to a Pentium 100... that seems to be what most people I know have... when I
design anything I try to test it on a variety of computers, and to this
effect usually everything runs quite fine, allegro doesn't slow down on any
computer that I've seen, but it also depends on what you write. If you use
something that has huge sprites, i.e. my game, then you'll notice a big
speed decrease, but if you're running with smaller more managable sprites
then it doesn't really matter. Ive run many allegro examples on my old
486DX 25 with little speed problems.
