Not possible, if you mean a .wav of just music. The reason is, that a
.wav file contains the digital representations of the original sounds,
whereas the midi file is more like the score - it contains what notes,
lengths, attacks, decays etc... the music should have, but not what they
should sound like e.g. a .wav file will sound (almost) identical on all
sound cards, but a midi file won't.

An analogy would be with vector and bitmap graphics, a wav file being
like a bitmap; only telling you what the picture will look like, and a
midi file like the vector file; telling you how to draw the picture, but
not rigidly define it.
