Try "info libc alpha memset" from your DOS command line.  *poof* -
there's the header file you need.  ;)  libc.inf lists functions in both
alphabetical order and by category, so to get a listing of just those
functions that deal with strings, type "info libc func string".  Most of
the indicated functions should be in one or two header files.
