These are part of DJGPP for so long that I didn't even think to
describe them.  Less is even mentioned in the FAQ (hint, hint).  It's
like to ask "What the hell is Info?"

Anyway, Less is a powerful text file browser (like `more' but much
more, pun intended), and Gawk is an interpreter for a C-like scripting 
language with a lot of built-in functions.
