Subject:	Putting it all to rest.

OK, I'm completely done with all of the Quake and related threads.  This
is all quite infantile on all of our parts, and was just plain stupid.
I'm sick of arguing over whether or not QuakeC is interpreted, if Quake is
the best 3D engine, if Carmack is the best programmer in the world, etc...
I'm just basically sick of arguing over crap that has absolutely no
pertinence to this newsgroup or mailing list, and will have no bearing on
any of our lives...  I like to keep pointless arguing for Philosophy
class.

Regardless, if you like C++, that's great, if you like Allegro's 3D,
wonderful, if you want to go play Quake and think it's the best game ever
written, feel free, if you want to program something with Plush and port
it to HP/UX, have a ball!  Just please don't reply to this message,
because I can very easily see some moron quoting the line "whether or not
QuakeC is interpreted" and trying to start and argument with me or
something of the like.

I'd also like to apologize to all of the people who had to pay their ISPs
to download this schlock. :)
