No.  To "compile" something is to turn it into machine language.  If the
process of turning source code into a binary format leads to machine
language which is then directly executed by the processor, then it has
been compiled.  If it doesn't end up with machine language, then the
result is bytecode or a tokenized format and is interpreted.
