It seems that they have added something to CHKDSK in Windows 95 so
that it refuses to work from within a DJGPP program.  Sorry, I don't
see how this can be solved.  You might consider asking Microsoft what
exactly is the reason.

AFAIK, this will not solve your problem.  There's nothing in DJGPP
library function that can explain this, and going to assembly won't
change the fact that you still run CHKDSK from a DJGPP program.
