I surely don't want the discussion to end here and nobody metion the
superb project WINE! Those guys are really unbelievably crazy, sicko
and fantastic, and i bet my 2 pennies on it that they hate Microsoft
for all there sweat and effort they have put in that project, only
because Windows is so badly designed.
(for them who doent know, wine is a Windows emulator for linux, that
is designed so you can use ALL windows applications on a linux
system without to have installed Ms Windows anywhere on the computer)
The last thing i saw of it, was the popular chat client mirc running.
And yes, WINE is important, even linus stressed on it, because yes
there just are a whole bunch of windows applications out there that
are missing to dos or linux.
And please dont you programmers get confused that Ms Windows is still
an excellent choice for the biology teachers to make there exams in
word and for processsing data in excel, because pushing a reset button
is a lot easier for them then vi'in an rc-file. Fact of life, not
everybody is programming.
