The point is the following: v2.00 and v2.01 are incompatible in how they pass
paramenters between programs, so if you mess versions you'll be limited to the
DOS traditional way, that's 126 bytes at most.
So you will need to download all the modules that can be affected. I don't
remmeber but I guess Eli added some list to the FAQ (or at least previously
replied to this question).
Lamentably for you the packages are various, but depends on what you are using.
The djdev, binutils and compiler are the minimal, but you'll need make 3.75 or
RHIDE (both perhaps) and some (of all) of the GNU utils that you'll call from
make if they need a long list of arguments.
