Hope this suffices:
(**) S3: Graphics device ID: "S3-Trio32 (generic)"
(--) S3: PCI: 868 rev 0, Linear FB @ 0xf8000000
(--) S3: card type: PCI
(--) S3: chipset: 868 rev. 31
(--) S3: chipset driver: mmio_928
(--) S3: videoram: 1024k
(--) S3: Detected an S3 SDAC 86C716 RAMDAC and programmable clock
(--) S3: Ramdac type: s3_sdac
The particular mode I'm after atm is 320x256x16M. If all else fails I'd be
happy with 320x240 nevertheless.
What I'd like to see best though is a DOS/Win program which will mimic the
mode-options of the XF86_S3 server for Linux. I.e. reads out a config file
with horizontal and vertical timings per desired resolutions and tries to
get requested mode running in the desired color depth.
Cheers,
