I checked out allegro22 a couple of days ago. One thing to watch out for is the requirement of C++ for one module (setup?); this aborts compilation if your DJGPP installation is C only. Thing is all the examples and test stuff is listed after this C++ module in the makefile. Move the C++ module to the end to get the examples/test modules to compile. Hope this helps someone; though I don't expect this will affect many people.
