Yes RHIDE, but read the readme because RHIDE needs the compiler installed.

Again the README.1st file, if you need more information go to my home page and 
visit the links pages I have links to at least 3 explanations on how to install 
DJGPP step by step, one of them must work ;-)

Use RHIDE is very similar to BC++ 3.1 just create a little project.

GCC uses AT&T syntax, so if you need inline asm you'll need to learn more about

That's a normal feature of DJGPP programs ;-)

You MUST use DPMI, as you say you hate the Loose family you'll need to install 
CWSDPMI or QDPMI or another DPMI provider, CWSDPMI is in the v2misc dir (and 
you have it if you downloaded 180Mb man).
