It's too big, and has too poor a signal/noise ratio for it to be any use
for serious discussions. Also, these days it is full of Windows coders

DOS programming :-) I don't read it any more because there are just too

It's certainly true that questions about collision detection and texture
mapping algorithms are not appropriate for this group, and do belong in
rec.games.programmer. But there are many topics that are specific to
djgpp, or at least to protected mode DOS, that don't really belong in
rec.games.programmer, and yet aren't quite focused enough to be right
for this group either. A lot of these are related to Allegro, which is
why I think an Allegro mailing list might be a good temporary measure,
but in the long run I think a group dedicated to writing games
specifically for the djgpp environment would be quite valuable...
