Either you have some fancy wavetable card like an AWE (wait until George
Foot finishes his AWE driver) or a GUS (wait until Tero finishes his GUS
driver), or you are just being fussy about differences in the instrument
sets. Don't despair, though: because Jorrit Rouwe has been working on a
set of patches that are a lot closer to the normal Windows ones, which
will be in the next release. You should be aware that the sound of each
instrument can vary a lot from one card to another even within Windows,
though, so when you say they sound 'right' in the Media Player, there's
a very good chance that given a different card or driver, Windows would
also play them totally differently.
