Have you tried a clean boot, loading to device drivers or TSRs, just
setting the correct PATH and DJGPP variables?
Also, increasing the DPMI memory allocation in your DOS box properties
might improve your performance there; if 16384K isn't big enough try
typing something bigger (larger values aren't on the list). Don't set it
to auto, though.
