sounds quite a good idea,

But what about those questions that cross the line between being
specifically Allegro or DJGPP?  There
are some serious questions that draw on problems from both. If the
newsgroup was moderated then it
would be possible for the moderator to re-post messages and questions
that would benefit from being in both 
groups
