in case you people missed, this was posted here only a few days ago. i
downloaded and followed instructions (which were somewhat clearer than
the previous versions) and compiled all the sample programs in a
straightforward fashion. note the the cygnus stuff and rsxntdj are not
the same thing. by the way, the gui sample programs (which are
considerably more involved than "Hello World" all have executables
smaller than 64K.)

i haven't done anything other than playing with the samples so far, but
the package looks pretty good to me. danke, Rainer Schnitker.

BTW, i downloaded it from ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/

Subject:New rsxntdj 1.3.1, Win32 programming with DJGPP
Date: Fri, 2 May 1997 16:53:19 +0200
MIME-Version: 1.0

Here is RSXNTDJ version 1.3.1, an environment for creating Win32
applications for Win95, WinNT and Win 3.1 + Win32s with the GNU C
compiler. This version requires the DJGPP 2.01 port to build Win32
programs.

RSXNTDJ supports Win32 console, GUI, DLL's and bound programs. Bound
programs are native Win32 executables that can also run under DOS (with
RSX). In the most cases you must only recompile your existing source
code.

The Win32 headers in this archive are not complete. But RSXNTDJ contains
the include-file WINGNUC.H to include the standard Win32 SDK header
files from the Microsoft Platform SDK.

RSXNTDJ also contains an Integrated Development Environment called
RSXIDE.

You can compile your source code without using a DOS box.

New in RSXNTDJ 1.3.1:

- All features of RSXNT 1.3 (emx version)
- Bound programs
- DLL's
- Relocation's in PE file (necessary for Win32s and DLL's)
- Debugging
- Version 1.3 supports C-runtime DLL's. You can link your program to
the C runtime DLL instead linking the static C library to your program.
- Version 1.3.1 supports the new Win32 Platform SDK Include files.
