Thanks to all who replied to my request on this.
I got messages from 10 people. Out of these, only 2 thought that an
automated setup program should be included on the CD-ROM. The rest
told me they agreed with my opinion: create a batch file that sets the
things up and tell the user to include a call to that batch in their
AUTOEXEC.BAT. As for CONFIG.SYS, I think I will test the size of the
environment and print a warning if it seems too small (DJGPP.ENV makes
the problems with environment size all but gone in most cases).
Several people asked how to get that CD-ROM, and were worried about
its possibly steep price tag. I would like to clarify that I have
nothing to do with setting prices for the CD; it's entirely up to FSF
which will release it. The GNU ftp sites include documentation on how
to order FSF software releases; anybody who wants to purchase their
CDs should consult that docs.
