Looks good so far. Focusing on the application seems like a good idea,
e.g. how to do a simple game with various inputs and flicker-free screen
and sound output. Maybe a section describing the examples Shawn supplies
with explanations of the features that each is demonstrating and where
they might be used would be a good start until you get some demo code 
together. I think it could be a big help to Allegro newbies and oldbies
too. The hard part will be keeping application demos small enough to
be understandable but large enough to be realistic. Perhaps someone
(not me) would be willing to do a port of one of those wretched Microsoft
DirectX demos (iclowns, fox&bear), just to show that it can be done,
and how much better a REAL game API can be.
