In fact DJGPP-compiled programs (which includes the compiler tools
themselves) don't mind whether you use forward or backward slashes, unless
the author has changed some crt0 flags. Since the DJGPP environment
variable is only read by these programs you can do it either way around,
although I believe the prefered way is to use forward slashes.
