Yes.

1) A huge support.
2) Updates all the time.
3) Access to the code of the standard library so you can know what's making 
each call.
4) A lot of libraries for Game Programming. (check my web page)
5) Protected mode, so you don't have a 640Kb limit.
6) And more ...

Compiling? or the generated code?

Compiling is slower than Borland, I don't know about Watcom.
The generated code is very good. Things that you won't have (at least today): 
a) Pentium optimization.
b) An easy to use register calling convention.

There are a lot of newbie questions in this news group and seems that they 
finally get all working.
