To download DJGPP, the MS-DOS port of GNU C/C++ and associated
utilities, you must ftp to one of the SimTel mirrors listed in the
Getting DJGPP link of the DJGPP website. (The URL for this is
<http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/getting.html>.) One such site is
<ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/>.
Then switch to the 'v2' directory and get the file named 'readme.1st'.
It lists all the various DJGPP packages that are available, and tells
you which files you need to download for your particular needs. It also
tells you how to unzip them, and how to configure your system
environment so they work properly. Please read the file _entirely_ - it
does tell you everything you need to know.
You cannot download DJGPP directly from delorie.com, as it is connected
to the net through a modem and the drain on bandwidth would be
intolerable.
hth!
