Yup. Prior to v2, Allegro could be used with both Borland and djgpp. I
can dig out the old code if anyone is interterested, but it was very
primitive (look through the changes.txt file, subtract everything that
has been added over the years, and you'll realise that there isn't a lot
left...)

As to why I dropped the Borland support: I hate writing 16 bit code and
never want to go anywhere near that stupid memory architecture ever
again :-)
