As far as DOS/4GW goes, you don't need a DPMI host, because DOS/4GW
is essentially its own 32 bit OS (this may not be technically correct.). 
This is
why you can run DOOM from DOS without EMM386 or anything else.

I will not comment on CWSDPMI because I know nothing about it.
