No, they didn't offened me at all actually.  It's just that I didn't see
what advantages there were to do what you were saying.  In the beginning you
appeared to say I was doing something wrong and that caught me off guard.  I
didn't get offended or anything; rather I felt a need to justify what I was
doing.

But in any case, thank you for your help!  I'm glad this newsgroup/mailing
list exists to answer questions on DJGPP.
