well this is not possibly the right place (this is about C, not
junk :-)) but in short they are extended characters i.e. we in Spain
use accents over letters; since they don't fit on the 7bit set they
are translated the way you see. To remove them use another news reader
:-), because some support them and others don't (Netscape 3.0 supports
them, but Free Agent doesn't AFAIK)
