Last I checked grep was some kind of unix program. I think it was
something connected with internet TCP and resolving host names or
something similar.

In any case, I went to my djgpp BIN dir and did a dir grep*.* and it
turned up nothing.
I tried a subdirectory-recursive search of C:\DJGPP and found nothing.
I looked in the info files. There's an item for "grep" in the main menu,
but when I click it I get a message saying a file wasn't found.
I did install all of the binary and info files the FAQ instructed me to in
order to install DJGPP for compiling C and C++. And compiling C and C++
(to judge from SETUP.CC in allegro) works fine so I doubt I missed any
important zip.
