The idea is to let new users know that this is the place to ask basic
questions about getting up to speed. Of course they would quickly learn
that the FAQ answers virtually all of those questions. :)

Someone suggested calling it c.o.m.djgpp.newuser, which sounds good to me.

Well, it seems like a healthy fraction of the posts are Allegro related.
I avoided mentioning Allegro by name, because I didn't want anyone to
think that I was casting disparagement on Shawn's fine work (I use it
myself.) Anyway, the idea behind splitting up a group is to separate
major categories of posts that are not of interest to all and that can
stand by themselves in their own forum.

I did a quick and sloppy count of the djgpp posts that were still on
my local server. Out of a total of 992, I counted 141 with the word
"Allegro" in the subject line. This is a little less than %15, so it's
not a huge fraction, and they are not all graphics related. (Many concern
other parts of the Allegro library like keyboard handling, etc.) So,
perhaps c.o.m.djgpp.graphics is not a good choice. %15 is close to the
borderline, but it might be worth considering c.o.m.djgpp.allegro.
