If the mistake above was just a typo in your post, get DJVERIFY from here:

ftp to ftp.delorie.com, directory /pub/djgpp/alpha, filename vrfy033a.zip

Unzip this and run it, and it will check your configuration. If it can't
tell you what to do about it, use it to generate a diagnostic file (I
can't remember what it calls them), which will help people on this 
list/newsgroup to solve the problem.
